What Motivation Does Satan Have To Make Hell A Bad Place?
So Satan is the ultimate bad guy in charge of corrupting the human race, right? And his realm is hell, where all the bad people who were doing his work on earth go, right? So why should he make hell bad? You’d think he would reward all his followers with all the sinful things you cant get in heaven. Doesnt that kind of make sense? I mean, “Work for me! I’ll torture you for all eternity!” is kind of a poor advertising campaign.

Hell is a place of torment and punishment and Satan had no part in creating it, but it was created for him.

This concept of hell and Satan was kind of laid down during the middle ages.
The bible uses many names which are often interpreted as Satan, such as Lucifer, the serpent, the beast, etc.
Whether or not they all mean the same entity is very questionable.
The actual story of “Satan” or “Azazael’s” fall from heaven is not recorded in the bible. It is spoken about in the book of Enoch which was excluded during the canonization processes. The story goes various ways, but generally there was a conflict between Azazael and God and so God cast Azazael out, and a portion of the other angels went with him. He cast him down into some valley in the Earth.
Understand that protojudean mythology contains various stories about demons and the realms which they inhabit and the things they do but I don’t recall Azazael ever being an adversary of God, rather more that he just disobeyed, and the demons were more like demi-gods.
There are various stories.
Jews do not believe in a hell in the christian sense.

Not quite. Satan is just an entity who’ve taken up the hobby of influencing the evil temptations of man after he was banished from heaven by God. Nobody put him in charge of doing so, not even God, its his own decision.

Wrong. The hell is a place created by God. Satan has no control over how it will work, who’ll go in there. In fact, according to my religion, Satan himself will spent an eternity in hell for his misdeeds.
So all your other points becomes moot.

Actually his realm is here on earth, and he is not at all in charge of hell as portrayed by hollywood. Satan shall also be cast into the lake of fire to be tormented day and night without rest for ever and ever; with all that were impenitent in the day when God shall judge the world in righteousness.

You make a very good point there. Yeah, that would not make sense to torture someone for doing what you wanted them to do and did the things that pleased you. Maybe Hell has all the fun things that Christians think are bad and sinful like rock music, sex, sex appeal, sexual foreplay, MTV, beer, thrilling stunts, pizza parties with plenty to drink, monster trucks, all those fun things that Christians think are bad and you won’t get to experience in Heaven because if there were no sex in Heaven like some Christians claim there isn’t, then that’d have to mean that there’d have to be sex in Hell.

it doesnt matter if you do what someone else wants.just because you do what they want,doesnt mean they care about you.the sinful pleasures are just a temporary tool,to get people into sin and away from god.you live your life for yourself,indulging in sinful pleasures,that only lasts for a short time.the sex,drugs,live fast/die young philosophy is what attracts people to the short-lives pleasures of sin.and if people die without changing their way of life,the party is over.
if one person does something wrong,and they get punished for it,the person being punished will often wish for other people to be punished.
and so they’ll try to bring other people down with them.they might use sinful pleasures to draw the person’s attention.but the sinful pleasures are not the end result.they’re only means to the true end result.which,ultimately,will be condemnation and no chance at forgiveness for doing those bad things.

First of all, Satan doesn’t get to choose what hell is like. Hell is hell because it is the complete opposite to heaven and the complete absence of God. Satan has no control over what hell is like, he just wants everybody to go there because misery loves company, Satan “seeketh that all men might be miserable like unto himself.” Secondly, it isn’t Satan that tortures people. The people in hell are those who rejected Christ and his sacrifice, so therefore they must suffer for their own sins. Christ paid the way for all men, if they will repent and come unto Him. Those who reject that great blessing must suffer for their own sins, which really sucks for them. It is because of the divine laws of eternal justice. Justice must be served. When a law is broken, someone must pay the consequences. Christ, the great Mediator, suffered for all our sins, with the condition that we repent and have faith in Him and follow His will. And then He will save us from death and that aweful hell which awaits those who reject Him. And what a tragic fate for them, for the live “in aweful fearful looking for the fiery indignation of the wrath of God upon them.” Doesn’t sound very appealing does it.

Given the eons this so called Satan would have been around, a slack jawed idiot could have figured out that God’s “word” says hell is torment. By being nice, he would falsify God’s omniscience, and the universe Satan supposedly hates would cease to exist. No reasonable person should think this story had any merit. Problem is, people scared out of their minds (literally) by threats of hell do not reason this far (if at all), and Abrahamic belief persists.

From what I know, Satan just wants evil EVERYWHERE. He doesn’t care if people do his bidding. Of course he wants them disobey God, but he doesn’t reward anyone for it. He’s just trying to drag as much of the human race down to hell as he can. It doesn’t matter for him if there are people on earth who worship him. That just means that they go to hell and everlasting punishment when they die.

well, satan didn’t prepare hell himself, but he knows it is his fate that is prepared by God to him and every sinful person. he was an angel one day and he thought about being greater(er) than God. so you can conclude that he is thinking in an evil way and so he is trying to attract as much people to suffer with him.

People always think Satan will rule in hell, actually he is going to be consumed by hell. The light of God is a consuming fire, he will be turned to ash and remembered no more. Hell is forever, eternal fire has been misunderstood as burning for ever when it actually means burnt for ever.

Satan likes nobody. Even those who will go to his side. He is the ultimate betrayer and he will do it every time.
The reason he hates us is because we have bodies and he doesn’t.

It’s not so much an advertising campaign for Satan as it is more a deterrent or way to get people to do the right thing. Supposedly, God made hell, not Satan, so it will be used for punishment.

Satan is ruled by hate and pride. He hates us because God loves us. And he doesn’t advertise the horrible agony he’ll give you forever in Hell; only the pretty trifles he’ll give you for a short time on Earth.
