Could it be that is why church attendance is declining so? Is it a like of fear in Hell? It seems you can get more fear from a good zombie movie these days than fear of the Devil.
Many people have grown contemptuous of the devils roll as a boogie man. Many don’t even believe in the Devil at all. What can the Churches do to regain peoples fear of Satan?

So Satan is the ultimate bad guy in charge of corrupting the human race, right? And his realm is hell, where all the bad people who were doing his work on earth go, right? So why should he make hell bad? You’d think he would reward all his followers with all the sinful things you cant get in heaven. Doesnt that kind of make sense? I mean, “Work for me! I’ll torture you for all eternity!” is kind of a poor advertising campaign.

Even so, it is a terrifying thought. What if I am wrong and hell is eternal for humans as well.

So when a devil tempts a human being and the human falls under its temptation, then what does the devil exactly attain besides simple pleasure of accomplishing his goal?
Is this thought to happen in the time of Genesis, or in some post-Biblical time, or sometime in between ?
