What makes you so sure your religion was not meant to deceive, to sow discord and division amongst the population?

Scare ‘em into submission! That’s a concept that religious figures have understood all too well for a long time now. They never present any sound evidence to support the reality of eternal punishment, but nobody seems capable of completely disproving it either.
